Hibiscus Iced Tea recipe made with a hibiscus simple syrup

Flavored iced tea is a delightful project for hot days. This Hibiscus Iced Tea uses a homemade hibiscus simple syrup to add bright color and tart-sweet flavor to your favorite brewed tea. It’s an easy, cost-effective alternative to buying specialty drinks.

Organic Dried Hibiscus Flowers

To make this recipe you’ll want organic dried hibiscus flowers. If you grow hibiscus and are sure the plants haven’t been treated with pesticides, you can dry the flowers yourself. Otherwise, buy organic dried hibiscus from a reputable source. Many health-food stores carry them.
